Why is it that a non-fat eggnog latte is STILL over 400 calories?
Why is it that a non-fat peppermint mocha is STILL over 300 calories?
Why?
I...the unsuspecting dieter that I am...have gone into Starbucks twice this week thinking that I'm safe ordering the non-fat milk option only to find out later in the day after looking up the nutritional info online that I have SCREWED myself and must live out the remainder of the day eating only lettuce.
Now tomorrow I must workout after my 14 hour work day of nursing. I am going to be incredibly unpleasant after completing this workout. So....anyone who is required to engage in any sort of conversation or activity with me should just avert their eyes and do something nice to appease me.
I'm just saying.
My motto for this holiday season is this:

I would recommend highly a one-pump gingerbread something as a substitute for the eggnog and peppermint mocha somethings. Last year they had sugar free gingerbread syrup, which was like magic, but this year they don't have it so it's not *quite* as virtuous, but still feels like a not-too-guilty treat.
I have no good advice, but I just wanted to say that I heart peppermint mochas!
I would eat lettuce all day every day if it meant I could start each morning with a peppermint mocha. For reals. It's socially-acceptable suburban crack.
Pseudo- I have yet to try this gingerbread goodness you speak off. I will drink on tomorrow...and then eat lettuce.
Kate-i heart them too...and had to talk myself down from buying one today...intead I did a Cafe Misto. Coffee and milk. BORING.
Melinda-then it's decided. My new diet will alternate daily. Day 1: Peppermint Mocha and lettuce. Day 2 Egg Nog Latte and lettuce...and so on.
